Exyte Wins €750 Million in AI Data Center Projects Near Frankfurt

A A

Exyte has secured three major AI-driven data center projects in the Greater Frankfurt region, with a combined order value of nearly €750 million. The projects were awarded by international hyperscalers and technology companies and will deliver approximately 80 MW of IT load capacity through a combination of new facilities and expansions of existing data centers. All three projects are scheduled for completion by 2028.

The projects further strengthen Frankfurt’s position as one of Europe’s largest data center hubs and underscore growing investment in AI and cloud infrastructure across the region. Several of the facilities will be constructed within operational environments, requiring phased deployment and careful coordination to maintain uninterrupted services while increasing capacity. Exyte said fast and predictable delivery schedules remain a key priority for customers responding to rapidly growing demand for AI computing resources.

To support the projects, Exyte plans to add approximately 400 roles in Germany. About 150 positions will be filled through internal workforce reallocation, while roughly 250 employees will be hired externally across engineering, construction, commissioning, and project management disciplines. The company said higher-density AI workloads are driving increased demand for advanced cooling systems, resilient power infrastructure, and industrialized construction methods that accelerate deployment timelines.

• Exyte secured three data center projects in the Frankfurt region.
• Combined order intake totals nearly €750 million.
• Projects represent approximately 80 MW of IT load capacity.
• Customers include international hyperscalers and technology companies.
• Facilities include both new construction and expansion projects.
• All projects are expected to be completed by 2028.
• Approximately 400 jobs will be supported in Germany.
• Projects will utilize advanced power, cooling, and prefabrication approaches.

“These contract wins underline the strategic importance of the data center business for Exyte and its role as a key growth driver within our portfolio. As demand for artificial intelligence and cloud services continues to accelerate globally, scalable and resilient digital infrastructure is becoming increasingly critical to our clients’ competitiveness,” said Mark Garvey, Chief Commercial Officer of Exyte.

 🌐 Analysis

Frankfurt remains one of the most strategically important data center markets in Europe due to its role as the home of DE-CIX, one of the world’s largest Internet exchanges, and its position at the center of European connectivity networks. Demand for AI infrastructure has added a new layer of growth to an already robust cloud and colocation market, driving investment from hyperscalers, cloud providers, and sovereign digital infrastructure initiatives.

The 80 MW of combined IT capacity represented by these projects is significant.
