Mitel Chooses TI for VoIP Silicon/Software

Mitel has selected Texas Instruments as its primary supplier for both its IP phone sets and VoIP gateway systems. Mitel plans to use TI’s technology in both its business telephone sets and its core Integrated Communications Platform (ICP) portfolio. TI’s TNETV1050 offers Mitel a highly integrated IP phone system-on-a-chip with a comprehensive feature set and integrated LCD controllers. Using TI’s flexible silicon and software architecture, Mitel can map additional functionality into its IP phones as the demand for a particular feature or application emerges. TI’s TNETV series of VoIP gateway solutions can be used for customer premises gateway applications, featuring optimized solution density and the flexibility required to differentiate products for their market.
