Nebius has launched its first UK deployment of NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs and NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand networking, marking one of the country’s most advanced AI supercomputing installations. The new London-area facility brings Nebius AI Cloud’s compute and hyperscale capabilities to British enterprises, researchers, and public institutions. The deployment supports the UK Government’s AI Opportunities Action Plan and strengthens domestic AI capacity for foundation model development and generative AI workloads.

The Nebius AI Cloud 3.0 “Aether” platform underpins the rollout, offering enterprise-grade features including SOC2 Type II certification, HIPAA compliance, and full GDPR and CCPA adherence. The platform integrates with the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software suite to enable large-scale AI training and inference. Nebius’s infrastructure supports applications across life sciences, finance, healthcare, and robotics, with early users including Basecamp Research and Prima Mente, both leveraging Nebius compute to accelerate discovery and medical innovation.

Arkady Volozh, founder and CEO of Nebius, said:

“This launch is a milestone for Nebius and for the UK’s growing AI ecosystem. By combining our cloud infrastructure foundations with NVIDIA’s latest technology, we’re empowering organizations across the UK to train, deploy, and scale AI models and applications faster, more securely, and more sustainably than ever.”

• Nebius’s UK site features NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs and Quantum-X800 InfiniBand networks

• Facility uses advanced cooling and on-site power generation for efficiency and reliability

• Nebius AI Cloud 3.0 “Aether” platform integrates NVIDIA AI Enterprise software

• Supports healthcare, life sciences, fintech, and government AI deployments

• Early adopters include Basecamp Research and Prima Mente, focused on life sciences innovation

🌐 Analysis:

Nebius’s UK expansion reflects a broader wave of regional AI infrastructure investment as nations seek sovereign compute capability. Its adoption of NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell Ultra GPUs positions it alongside other hyperscalers deploying similar systems for foundation model training. The collaboration strengthens NVIDIA’s influence across Europe’s AI buildout, while giving UK researchers and enterprises a domestic option for high-performance, compliant AI compute.
