NEC America is demonstrating its suite of IPv6-capable “BlueFire” routers and switches at the U.S. IPv6 Summit 2003 this week in Arlington, Virginia. NEC also recently joined several other companies to participate in the national MOONv6 project, which aims to test IPv6 under real-world conditions. MOONv6 is a collaborative effort between the North American IPv6 Task Force (NAv6TF), the University of New Hampshire’s InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL), Internet2 (I2), and the Joint Interoperability Testing Command (JITC) along with other Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, including the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines.
