Nedia Fiber and India-based Birla Cable Ltd. have entered into an exclusive strategic alliance aimed at expanding the supply of high-performance fiber optic cables across the Americas. Announced from Ashburn, Virginia, the agreement will enable faster delivery of telecom infrastructure materials to meet surging broadband demands across North, Central, and South America.

The alliance positions Nedia Fiber as the regional channel for Birla Cable’s globally certified fiber cable portfolio. Nedia brings local market expertise and operational agility, while Birla Cable, part of the M.P. Birla Group, contributes its advanced manufacturing capabilities and large-scale production capacity. The partners plan to stock inventory strategically throughout the U.S. and South America, improving responsiveness to service providers, telecom operators, and engineering firms.

Executives from both firms underscored the alliance’s importance to their growth strategies. Nedia Fiber President Siby Pothen highlighted the partnership’s focus on “speed, responsiveness, and execution.” Birla Cable CEO R. Sridharan noted the agreement provides “direct access to the American market,” while Nedia COO Luiz Fuschini emphasized their “committed supply chain” as key to enabling regional projects.

  • Exclusive alliance targets reduced lead times and enhanced cable availability
  • Inventory to be staged across the U.S. and South America for faster fulfillment
  • Nedia Fiber focuses on telecom, ISP, and EPC sectors in the Americas
  • Birla Cable brings global manufacturing scale and Indian production capacity
  • Partnership driven by veterans Siby Pothen, R. Sridharan, and Luiz Fuschini

“We are enabling the market with inventory flowing into the U.S. and strategic locations in South America. With a committed supply chain, we are ready to support projects with speed, precision, and trust,” said Luiz Fuschini, COO of Nedia Fiber.

🌐 Why it Matters: Fiber optic supply chains remain a critical factor in achieving national broadband goals across the Americas. This alliance provides regional players with faster access to essential infrastructure materials. It also underscores the growing interdependence between U.S.-based distributors and Indian manufacturing expertise.
