Nokia has introduced AI-driven operations (AIOps) to its Altiplano Access Controller, advancing automation in broadband networks. This integration enables operators to utilize artificial intelligence from Nokia’s Altiplano Marketplace to analyze network data and automate decision-making. By leveraging AI and smart analytics, operators can detect network anomalies more quickly, anticipate potential service disruptions, and optimize network resource utilization.

The platform uses big data analytics, digital twins, and AI-powered agents to increase operational efficiency and boost automation. The enhanced Altiplano core platform provides operators with tools to detect network issues before they affect services, improve capacity planning, and assist human operators in managing incidents faster and more accurately. This evolution in network management helps ensure better customer experiences and greater network reliability.

Nokia says itsAltiplano Access Controller is deployed by over 160 broadband operators worldwide. It powers some of the most advanced software-defined networking (SDN) systems, including those serving over a million subscribers. According to Geert Heyninck, Vice President of Nokia’s Broadband Networks, “With AI and advanced network analytics, operators can gain deeper insights and make smarter decisions to ensure smooth operations. By detecting issues faster and optimizing resources, we’re moving closer to fully autonomous networks.”

• Nokia integrates AI-driven operations into Altiplano Access Controller.

• AI and digital twins enhance network efficiency and resource optimization.

• AIOps improves anomaly detection and incident management in broadband networks.

• Over 160 broadband operators globally use Nokia’s Altiplano platform.

• Nokia ranked as the top network automation platform for fixed networks.
