The Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exhibition (OFC) returns to San Francisco’s Moscone Center from March 30 to April 3, 2025, bringing together more than 600 global exhibitors. The event will highlight innovations in optical networking, quantum communications, AI-driven network optimization, and energy-efficient solutions for data centers.
OFC 2025 will feature interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and expert panels covering advancements in high-speed optical components, specialty fiber, and cutting-edge network infrastructure. Leading brands—including Cisco, Infinera, Marvell, Corning, and CIENA—will showcase technologies such as 800G and 1.6 Terabit networking, Coherent PON, Linear Pluggable Optics (LPO), and multicore fiber. The conference will also focus on sustainability, addressing the power demands of AI-driven networks and high-capacity data centers.
OFCnet, the event’s dedicated high-speed optical testbed, will power live demonstrations of quantum networking, AI-powered network optimization, interoperability, and big data applications. Supported by CENIC, Internet2, ESnet, and major industry players, OFCnet will enable real-time testing of 400Gbps to 1.6Tbps WAN services, quantum repeaters, and fiber sensing technology. The show floor will also host interoperability demonstrations and expert-led discussions in the Market Watch, Network Operator Summit, and Data Center Summit sessions.
