Portugal's Rede Eléctrica Selects ECI's SDH/DWDM

Rede Eléctrica Nacional, Portugal’s electric transmission company, selected ECI Telecom to build a national transport backbone with a combination SDH/DWDM and next generation Ethernet capabilities in over 30 sites. The deployment will use ECI’s XDM MSPP, which converges intelligent optical networking capabilities with advanced data functionality including ATM and Ethernet Layer 2 over SDH/SONET, CWDM and DWDM.
