Spirent Introduces CopperMax Field Test Unit

Spirent Communications introduced a new line of intelligent handheld field test units that enable service providers to speed time to repair, reduce repeat dispatches, and integrate field and remote test activities into a single process. The new CopperMax/OSP field test unit can be used for identifying and locating faults in DSL, voice or private line services. Through a combination of remote wireless connectivity with the field laptop, and the laptop’s own cellular-data connectivity with the provider’s centrally located remote test OSS software, field testing personnel can get real-time access to centralized test resources.
