Spirent Launches 5G FWA Testing to Drive Network Optimization

Spirent Communications has introduced new 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) testing services designed to help communications service providers (CSPs) and device manufacturers optimize network performance. These services offer advanced lab-based 5G and Wi-Fi gateway testing alongside live network competitive benchmarking, providing critical insights into the user experience. With more than 200 CSPs already offering 5G FWA home services and 20 CSPs introducing 5G business solutions, the need for rigorous performance evaluation continues to grow globally.

The new Spirent services help providers fine-tune their networks to enhance customer satisfaction and boost revenue. By offering comprehensive testing for data, VoWiFi, video streaming, and cloud gaming, Spirent’s solutions identify potential performance issues earlier in the development cycle. This minimizes troubleshooting costs and allows for more efficient network optimization, particularly in environments with varying user demands.

Spirent’s approach leverages global cloud-based measurement systems to deliver actionable data in real-time. This enables CSPs to confidentially benchmark their services against competitors, ensuring accurate performance insights. “5G FWA represents a growing trend and significant opportunity for CSPs to expand their revenue streams,” said Stephen Douglas, Head of Market Strategy at Spirent. “Our latest solutions prioritize testing of the user experience to help customers monetize their networks more effectively.”

• New 5G FWA services target both CSPs and device manufacturers

• Comprehensive testing for data, VoWiFi, video streaming, and cloud gaming

• Live benchmarking helps providers improve network efficiency and customer satisfaction

“5G FWA represents a growing trend and significant opportunity for CSPs to expand their revenue streams,” said Stephen Douglas, Head of Market Strategy at Spirent. “Expanding its monetization potential means making testing of the user experience a priority and that’s what our latest solutions offer. It will also potentially save service providers, device, and network vendors millions of dollars in troubleshooting costs by enabling them to identify problems earlier in the development cycle.”
