In Focus: APC

🏛️ Advanced Photonics Coalition (APC)
Advancing Photonics for AI Infrastructure, Optical Interconnects and Future Computing
The Advanced Photonics Coalition (APC) is an industry coalition dedicated to advancing photonics technologies, strengthening supply chains and promoting policies that accelerate innovation in optical communications, AI infrastructure and advanced computing. APC builds on the legacy of the Consortium for On-Board Optics (COBO), expanding industry collaboration from board-level optical interconnects to the broader photonics ecosystem powering next-generation AI factories, cloud infrastructure and high-performance computing.
Why It Matters Photonics is becoming a foundational technology for AI infrastructure, enabling higher bandwidth, lower latency and improved energy efficiency. APC promotes the technologies and ecosystem needed to scale optical connectivity for AI clusters, cloud data centers and future computing platforms.
