Telenor Satellite Services will offer interconnection to the Inmarsat Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN), Inmarsat’s next generation satellite communication offering. The BGAN system, currently planned for commercial launch in 2005, will offer telephony and high-speed data services through small size land portable terminals with near-global coverage.
The enhanced capabilities of the BGAN system are made possible through a new generation of satellites, known as Inmarsat 4, to be launched first quarter 2005. http://www.telenor.com/satellite
