Teligent Add Fixed Wireless Access to WilTel's National Network

A A

In partnership Teligent, WilTel has begun offering fixed wireless access from carrier and enterprise customer premises to any of its Extended On-Net access points over line-of-sight dependent, point-to-point microwave links operating in licensed spectrum. The service is aimed at Tier 2 and 3 markets of the U.S. that are typically underserved by national network providers and where local access costs onto a national fiber backbone are high. WilTel’s Extended On-Net encompasses more than 300 high-bandwidth, on-net access locations along WilTel’s nationwide fiber backbone route.

Customers can choose from unprotected private line wireless DS-3 circuits or protected private line wireless DS-3 or OC-3 circuits. Ethernet wireless access is also available. Unprotected Ethernet wireless access is available at standard 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interfaces at up to 45 Mbps, while protected Ethernet wireless access is available at standard 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interfaces at up to 100 Mbps. http://www.wiltel.comhttp://www.teligent.com
