Nokia introduced the FastMile Gateway 4, its latest 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) indoor device featuring dual-band Wi-Fi 7 and designed to deliver seamless 5G connectivity throughout the home. The new compact gateway supports carrier aggregation across up to 300MHz of bandwidth and includes high-gain antennas (up to 8 dBi) to improve coverage and maximize throughput. The device also features 8RX and 3TX capabilities for enhanced spectrum efficiency and performance, allowing operators to deliver faster and more reliable broadband to residential users.

The FastMile Gateway 4 offers Wi-Fi 7 multi-link operation (MLO), enabling simultaneous data transmission across multiple frequency bands, delivering Wi-Fi speeds of up to 4Gbps inside the home. Powered by Nokia’s Corteca software suite, the gateway includes integrated cloud-based Wi-Fi optimization, open-standard device management, and EasyMesh support for simplified network operations. The device can be self-installed by customers using Nokia’s mobile app, which helps identify the optimal placement for the gateway to maximize 5G signal strength and in-home Wi-Fi coverage.

With this launch, Nokia expands its FastMile FWA portfolio to include four Wi-Fi 7-enabled models, offering operators a broader set of solutions tailored for various deployment needs. The portfolio now covers indoor, outdoor, and window-mount options, giving service providers additional flexibility to meet growing demand for 5G broadband access, particularly in the last mile. Nokia continues to position FWA as a critical tool for addressing broadband gaps, especially in underserved or hard-to-wire regions.
