in Data Centers
A A

Innodisk has announced the launch of its first PCIe Gen5 SSD series designed for next-generation data centers, featuring support for OCP Data Center NVMe SSD spec v2.0. With peak performance of up to 14 GB/s read and 10 GB/s write, and capacity up to 128TB, the new SSDs are optimized for high-throughput environments such as AI model training, big data analytics, and multi-tenant enterprise workloads. The drives support multiple form factors including U.2, EDSFF E1.S, E3.S, and the new E3.L, addressing a wide range of rack-scale storage deployments.

The Gen5 series incorporates NVMe 2.0 protocol and NVMe-MI for improved manageability, multi-namespace support for scalable architecture, and secure boot functionality to ensure firmware integrity. Designed with VMware compatibility in mind, the drives also feature customizable firmware and robust integration capabilities for virtualized enterprise environments. The new SSDs will be available in Q2 2025.
