CoreSite, an American Tower Corporation company, has become one of the first carrier-neutral data center providers in North America to achieve Gold-tier status in the Google Verified Peering Provider Program. The designation positions CoreSite as a validated provider of high-performance, low-latency internet connectivity to services delivered over Google Cloud and other Google-hosted applications.
The Gold Verified Peering Provider (VPP) designation enables enterprises to access Google services without managing direct peering relationships. Instead, CoreSite maintains dedicated and redundant private network interfaces (PNIs) with Google across key U.S. markets, including Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, and Chicago. These PNIs are integrated within CoreSite-operated facilities and linked to its Blended IP service, which provides managed internet connectivity optimized for performance and availability.
CoreSite’s approach combines private interconnection infrastructure with managed IP services to reduce latency and simplify access to public cloud resources. The offering targets enterprises consuming services such as Google Workspace, SASE platforms, and other internet-facing applications hosted on Google Cloud. By abstracting the complexity of Direct Peering, the VPP model allows organizations to achieve enterprise-grade connectivity without deploying their own dedicated peering infrastructure.
