Texas Instruments introduced its newest VoIP gateway solution based on its digital signal processing (DSP) technology and Telogy Software. The latest VoIP gateway design integrates key elements onto the chip, such as Ethernet MACs and PHYs for high-speed data routing. The solution also employs low-cost external SDRAM.
TI said approximately 80% of the VoIP gateway and IP phone products in use or in development today are based on its technology.
