Conexant Systems launched a family of home network processors for broadband gateways and WAN access applications. Based on an ARM processor, the new Home Network Processors include two devices that operate at 200 MHz and 300 MHz, respectively. Also included is a memory management unit (MMU) that supports major operating systems such as Linux, VxWorks and Windows CE.NET. The processor design includes VoIP support and an advanced encryption engine for VPN applications.
