How will fiber disrupt the federal permitting process?

Eric Beightel, Executive Director from Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council explains:

– All projects funded through the NTIA’s Broadband Middle Mile and Digital Inclusion programs will require federal permits, indicating a significant impact of fiber technology on the federal permitting process.
– It’s crucial to work collaboratively as a federal family to ensure these projects progress swiftly and efficiently, without compromising essential environmental protections.
– The council is committed to working with the Fiber Broadband Association and its members to identify and overcome obstacles in the process, aiming to connect Americans as quickly as possible.
