Cisco Steps Up in AI Security Battle with Hypershield

Cisco introduced a cloud-native, AI-powered approach to highly distributed security for AI-scale data centers that’s built into the fabric of the network.

Cisco Hypershield is a new security product that integrates deeply with network infrastructure, promising enhanced protection for AI-scale data centers.

Hypershield combines Cisco’s advancements in network security with strategic partnerships, such as with NVIDIA, to optimize AI-driven security capabilities. The system offers visibility into operations across environments, whether in cloud setups or traditional data centers, through innovative use of lightweight monitoring tools that do not interfere with core operations.

Key features of Cisco Hypershield include:

  • Autonomous Network Segmentation: It dynamically updates security protocols based on real-time network flow and application behavior analysis
  • Proactive Vulnerability Management: The system identifies and mitigates potential exploits before they become active threats.
  • Seamless Security Upgrades: Hypershield tests and implements upgrades without impacting system uptime, ensuring continuous protection.
