Cologix and Lambda have deployed the first NVIDIA HGX B200-accelerated AI clusters in Columbus, Ohio, bringing enterprise-grade AI infrastructure to the Midwest. Announced June 3, the collaboration places Lambda’s 1-Click Clusters™, built on Supermicro’s energy-efficient, AI-optimized hardware, inside Cologix’s COL4 ScalelogixSM data center. This marks the first deployment of its kind in the region, providing local organizations with rapid access to high-performance compute for AI training, fine-tuning, and inference.

The deployment is designed to lower the barrier to AI adoption by allowing users to provision GPU resources instantly without managing underlying infrastructure. It builds on Lambda’s earlier AI infrastructure rollout in Chicago and expands its 1-Click Clusters™ offering, which supports large-scale model development with flexibility to integrate into public cloud environments. The service also includes Lambda’s GPU Flexible Commitment (GFC) model, offering seamless access to next-gen NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs as they become available.

Cologix, the largest colocation and interconnection provider in the Columbus area, operates four interconnected data centers in the city totaling 500,000 square feet and 80 MW of power. The facilities host over 50 network and cloud providers and offer direct onramps to AWS and Google Cloud. The Columbus launch is part of a broader effort to bring high-performance AI compute closer to where data is generated and used, serving key industries such as healthcare, finance, logistics, and manufacturing.

  • First deployment of NVIDIA HGX B200-powered clusters in Ohio
  • Built on Supermicro’s high-density, energy-efficient AI infrastructure
  • Hosted at Cologix’s COL4 data center in Columbus
  • Enables instant access to Lambda’s 1-Click Clusters™ for model training and inference
  • Supports GPU Flexible Commitment model with upgrade path to next-gen NVIDIA hardware
  • Cologix data centers in Columbus span 500,000 sq. ft. and 80 MW, with 50+ interconnection partners

“Columbus is a thriving hub for AI innovation, from manufacturing to healthcare,” said Robert Brooks IV, Founding Team & VP, Revenue at Lambda. “With Supermicro’s trusted systems and Cologix’s reliable infrastructure, we’re giving Lambda’s customers in the Midwest the fastest path to production-ready AI—and the added flexibility to integrate with hyperscaler environments.”
