At a China Mobile event in Shanghai, Ericsson (showcased its complete end-to-end TD-LTE solution for the first time. Ericsson has previously verified a single user peak rate of 110Mbps in the downlink for its TD-LTE solution. This demonstration was performed with a USB dongle with a TD-LTE chipset from ST-Ericsson. 
Ericsson has introduced a new base station as part of its TD-LTE offering. The design is based on its latest RBS 6000 multi-standard base station. The company said it will be capable of supporting LTE Advanced technology in the future.
