Ericsson’s Vonage announced a collaboration with enterprise software giant SAP to explore the use of generative AI and next-generation technologies through Vonage’s API platform and SAP Business AI. The partnership aims to accelerate digital transformation by enabling developers to create new applications for enterprises, leveraging Vonage’s Communication Platform as a Service (CPaaS) and SAP’s advanced AI technologies. This collaboration will provide SAP access to a suite of Vonage network APIs, including Quality-on-Demand (QoD), Device Location, and Number Verification.

These APIs offer a range of capabilities to enhance business operations. For instance, the QoD API helps deliver real-time experiences like extended reality and autonomous vehicle support, improving user satisfaction across industries. By combining Device Location and Number Verification APIs, SAP can improve customer authentication processes, reducing the risk of fraud while enhancing asset tracking, fleet management, and more through network-based data. The two companies also plan to explore cutting-edge innovations, blending generative AI with immersive services on SAP’s Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), aimed at driving improvements in data visualization, sustainability, and augmented reality training.

This partnership is expected to help developers create advanced applications that address business challenges and enhance customer engagement. Vonage’s API capabilities, combined with Ericsson’s leadership in mobile networks, will offer new solutions across industries, utilizing 5G-enabled network APIs to develop secure, reliable applications for enterprise customers.
