Flex Expands U.S. Manufacturing to Support AI Infrastructure

Flex (NASDAQ: FLEX) has announced the expansion of its U.S. manufacturing capacity with a new 400,000-square-foot facility in Dallas. The site will serve as a hub for Flex’s North American customer base, supporting the growing demand for AI-driven power infrastructure solutions.

The new facility will enhance production capacity for power pods, power distribution units, and low-voltage switchgear, optimizing power solutions from the grid to the chip. This strategic investment follows Flex’s acquisition of Crown Technical Systems in October 2024, enabling the company to integrate technical power pod fabrication and utility-grade assembly for faster, more efficient delivery across North America.

  • 400,000-square-foot facility – Expands U.S. production capacity for power infrastructure solutions.
  • AI-driven power demand – Supports growing data center power needs with scalable solutions.
  • Faster deployment – Reduces production lead times and improves distribution efficiency.
  • Grid-to-chip integration – Enhances capabilities for power pods, distribution units, and switchgear.
  • Strengthened U.S. footprint – Builds on Flex’s expertise in scaling power pod production globally.

“As AI adoption accelerates, the need for reliable, efficient, and scalable power infrastructure grows. Our new Dallas facility positions us to deliver next-generation power infrastructure solutions that help customers maximize computing performance while reducing deployment times,” said Chris Butler, President of Embedded and Critical Power at Flex.
