Indosat Selects Ericsson for LTE Upgrade in Jakarta

Indosat, a member of Ooredoo Group and one of Indonesia’s leading telecommunication and information operators, awarded a new contract to Ericsson to deploy 4G/LTE network in Greater Jakarta. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal covers 2G, 3G and 4G/LTE network technology, implementation services and network performance optimization. The solution includes the Ericsson RBS 6000 base station family.

Ericsson previously supplied 2G and 3G systems to Indosat.
