Intel Debuts Lunar Lake CPUs, its Most Efficient x86s

Intel introduced the Core Ultra 200V series, its most power-efficient x86 processors to date, marking a significant step in mobile AI and graphics performance. The processors are designed to offer a blend of efficiency and power, targeting consumer devices with over 80 designs from top manufacturers such as Acer, ASUS, Dell Technologies, and more. With pre-orders starting today, these systems will be globally available by September 24. The processors promise a massive leap in graphics performance, improved AI capabilities, and enhanced security while maintaining compatibility with a wide range of applications.

The Core Ultra 200V series features Intel’s latest advancements in CPU, GPU, and neural processing unit (NPU) technologies. Intel says these processors are built for AI workloads efficiently, with up to 50% lower package power and a new Xe2 graphics microarchitecture offering a 30% performance uplift with up to 20 hours of battery life. Intel’s partnerships with software vendors and the broader ecosystem further enhance the capabilities of these new processors.

“Intel’s newest Core Ultra processors set the industry standard for mobile AI and graphics performance, and smash misconceptions about x86 efficiency,” said Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Intel executive vice president and general manager of the Client Computing Group.
