Kineto Wireless released a new version of its UMA Network Controller (UNC), adding support for the 3G Iu core network interface, which enables deployment of 3G femtocells and dual-mode handsets. Femtocells are consumer 3G access points that improve coverage and performance of mobile services in a subscriber’s home.
