Optical Entertainment Network (OEN), which is deploying a FTTH network in Houston, signed IPTV carriage agreements with GSN, the network for games, Lifetime, Oxygen, and Tennis Channel. As with all of OEN’s IPTV carriage agreements, the license is negotiated directly with each channel without any intermediaries. OEN plans to deliver up to 400 channels of TV content, Internet access at 10 to 100 Mbps per subscriber, VoIP and other services.
In addition to serving its own FTTH subscribers in Houston, OEN plans to re-license its content line-up for distribution in other communities. http://www.4fiber.tv
