ONOS: ON.Lab’s SDN Open Network Operating System

December 17, 2014
in All
A A

Earlier this month, the Open Networking Lab (ON.Lab) released its open source SDN Open Network Operating System (ONOS) for Service Providers that enables agile service creation and deployment at scale on any hardware, including white boxes.

ONOS provides a highly available, scalable SDN control plane featuring northbound and southbound open APIs and paradigms for a diversity of management, control, and service applications across mission critical networks.

In these videos, On.Lab’s Prajakta Joshi introduces ONOS, explains its carrier-grade framework, discuss its positioning in context with OpenDaylight, and talks about what’s next for ONOS in 2015.
