At Computex 2025, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon unveiled strides in AI infrastructure, highlighting Snapdragon X Series’ leadership in powering the new generation of AI PCs. In a keynote packed with announcements and live demos, Amon emphasized Qualcomm’s transformation into a key force behind on-device intelligence, not just in mobile but across PCs, data centers, automotive, and industrial segments. Qualcomm confirmed over 85 AI PC designs launched or in development, with 22 Copilot+ PCs already powered by Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus chips.

Amon previewed how Snapdragon X Elite’s high-performance CPU/NPU/GPU stack and multi-day battery life are reshaping the Windows ecosystem. With over 750 native apps and 50+ NPU-powered features already running, Qualcomm is working closely with Microsoft, Adobe, Docker, and ecosystem partners like HP, Lenovo, and ASUS to create devices optimized for AI agents and on-device inference. Qualcomm also showcased “Context,” its on-device agentic AI model, and teased expanded industrial PC deployments in collaboration with Advantech.

Qualcomm concluded the keynote with a surprise: it is officially entering the data center market. With a new generation of AI-centric CPUs and power-efficient infrastructure in the works, Amon promised that Qualcomm’s upcoming data center solutions will bring “something unique and disruptive,” just as it did for the AI PC segment.

  • 85+ Snapdragon AI PC designs in development or already launched.
  • Copilot+ PCs powered by Snapdragon X Elite/X Plus now include models from HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, Microsoft, and Samsung.
  • 50+ AI-powered features and 750+ native apps now supported on Snapdragon platforms.
  • “Context” on-device AI agent introduced, enabling personalized productivity without sending user data to the cloud.
  • Partnerships with Docker, Adobe, Microsoft, and Writer to deliver hybrid AI experiences and boost enterprise workflows.
  • Claims Snapdragon X Elite outperforms rivals: 4x DaVinci Resolve and 14x Vegas Pro performance vs Intel Core Ultra 7 GPU.
  • Next-generation Snapdragon PC chip teased for the upcoming Snapdragon Summit 2025.
  • Qualcomm entering the AI data center space with low-power, high-performance CPU designs.

“AI will become the new OS for productivity,” said Cristiano Amon. “We’re transforming devices at the edge into smart, context-aware agents—and the data center is next.”
