T-Mobile Combines 5G and Starlink in “SuperBroadband” for Enterprises

T-Mobile introduced a new managed service called SuperBroadband that combines its nationwide 5G network with low Earth orbit satellite connectivity from SpaceX’s Starlink. The offering targets enterprise and SMB customers seeking resilient, always-on connectivity across distributed locations, including rural and underserved areas. The service integrates dual connectivity paths—terrestrial 5G and satellite—to provide automatic failover and continuous uptime.

The architecture centers on intelligent traffic orchestration across 5G and Starlink links, supported by centralized management through Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions’ NetCloud Manager. T-Mobile pairs this with Cradlepoint routers and outdoor 5G equipment to extend signal reach and unify connectivity into a single managed platform. The company also plans to expand its ecosystem with partners such as Inseego, broadening hardware and deployment options for enterprise customers.

SuperBroadband is positioned as a fully managed, nationwide service delivered under a single contract and billing structure. Deployment and field services are handled by Acuative, while T-Mobile’s T-Platform provides centralized visibility into performance, usage, and failover events. The service aims to simplify multi-site networking by replacing fragmented ISP relationships with a unified connectivity model that scales from single-location businesses to large enterprises.
