Inseego Expands Global Leadership Ahead of Nokia FWA Acquisition

Inseego announced a broad expansion of its international leadership and operating structure as it prepares for the planned acquisition of Nokia’s fixed wireless access (FWA) business. The company appointed new regional executives for Asia-Pacific and EMEA, established Amsterdam as its international headquarters, expanded executive responsibilities across global operations, and reaffirmed its investment in an engineering center in Athens, Greece. The moves underscore Inseego’s strategy to transform from a North America-focused supplier into a global provider of 5G fixed wireless access solutions.

The company named Pranav Shroff as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for India and Asia-Pacific Sales and Ossi Korpela as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for EMEA Sales. Both executives join Inseego’s executive leadership team after holding senior positions at companies including Nokia, HMD Global, Apple, Microsoft, Airtel, and Porsche. Chief Commercial Officer Steve Harmon will expand his responsibilities to oversee sales across the Americas, including Latin America, while Chief Financial Officer Steven Gatoff will lead the company’s international expansion strategy, overseeing global operating structure, integration activities, and regional scaling efforts.

Inseego also announced that Amsterdam will serve as its international headquarters, complementing its global headquarters in San Diego, while Athens, Greece, will become a key global engineering center supporting software development, product engineering, and customer support for the company’s expanding FWA portfolio. CEO Juho Sarvikas said the organizational changes establish the operational foundation needed to support customers worldwide following the planned Nokia acquisition, citing international expansion as one of the principal strategic motivations behind the transaction.

• Pranav Shroff appointed SVP and Managing Director, India & APAC Sales.
• Ossi Korpela appointed SVP and Managing Director, EMEA Sales.
• Steve Harmon expands leadership to all Americas, including Latin America.
• CFO Steven Gatoff will oversee international expansion and integration activities.
• Amsterdam selected as Inseego’s international headquarters.
• Athens, Greece designated as a major engineering and software development center.
• Athens team will support product development, software engineering, customer support, and global FWA portfolio development.
• The initiatives support Inseego’s planned acquisition of Nokia’s fixed wireless access business.
• Management emphasized international expansion as a key strategic rationale for the Nokia transaction.

“A major strategic rationale for the Nokia FWA acquisition was the opportunity to expand our reach beyond North America and serve customers in key international markets,” said Juho Sarvikas, CEO of Inseego.

🌐 Analysis

This announcement illustrates that Inseego is already executing operational integration planning well before the Nokia FWA acquisition closes. Rather than focusing solely on transferring products and customers, the company is building the regional leadership, engineering resources, and operational infrastructure needed to support a substantially larger international business. Recruiting executives with extensive Nokia experience may also help maintain continuity for carrier customers that currently deploy Nokia FWA platforms.

The geographic choices are notable. Amsterdam has become a preferred European headquarters location for many global technology companies because of its logistics, transportation infrastructure, multilingual workforce, and proximity to major European markets. Meanwhile, maintaining and expanding the Athens engineering organization preserves access to the software and wireless engineering expertise developed within Nokia’s FWA organization, potentially reducing disruption to ongoing product development while strengthening Inseego’s global R&D footprint.
