Telefónica has selected Nokia’s Packet Core solution to enhance the scale, capacity, and reliability of its 4G and 5G network for enterprise customers in Spain. The deployment will support low-latency services such as drone control, robotics, industrial automation, and smart metering while simplifying network architecture.

Telefónica will integrate Nokia Cloud Mobile Gateway and Nokia Mediation into its telco cloud, enabling flexible and efficient multi-vendor and multi-cloud operations. Additionally, Nokia’s Packet Core appliances will be deployed on enterprise premises, optimizing traffic management and reducing latency for mission-critical applications.

This partnership builds on Telefónica and Nokia’s existing collaboration across 5G RAN, XGSPON, IP and Optical transport, network analytics, and network APIs. With this deployment, Telefónica strengthens its enterprise service capabilities, ensuring enhanced network performance and security for its customers.
