Adtran has introduced its SDG 9000 Series, a new line of Wi-Fi 7 service delivery gateways aimed at bringing multigigabit connectivity to residential homes, small businesses, and multi-dwelling units (MDUs). Designed for both indoor and outdoor deployments, the SDG 9000 Series expands Adtran’s cloud-managed Wi-Fi 7 portfolio with a combination of a 10Gbit/s PoE+ switch router and next-generation access points. The product line is intended to meet growing demand for high-speed, secure, and scalable wireless coverage in high-density and mixed-use environments.

The SDG 9000 Series includes the SDG 9732i, a tri-band indoor access point optimized for dense environments, and the IP55-rated SDG 9712o for outdoor coverage, offering extended reach in public areas. At the core of the system is a 10Gbit/s switch router that integrates Combo WAN (Ethernet/fiber), a 10GbE LAN, and eight 2.5GbE PoE ports. All devices run Adtran’s SmartOS and are managed via the company’s Intellifi® cloud platform, which supports containerized apps, enhanced privacy and security, and real-time operational insights.

Adtran is positioning the SDG 9000 Series as a flexible, high-performance solution for service providers scaling Wi-Fi services across varied markets, from suburban homes with detached garages to cafés, retail spaces, and apartment complexes. With this launch, the company aims to address the convergence of residential and business connectivity needs in the multigigabit era.

  • SDG 9000 Series supports Wi-Fi 7 with speeds up to 10Gbit/s
  • Switch router includes Combo WAN, 10GbE LAN, and 8x 2.5GbE PoE+ ports
  • SDG 9732i tri-band indoor AP optimized for high-density use
  • SDG 9712o dual-band outdoor AP is IP55-rated for public environments
  • Intellifi® cloud platform enables centralized management, security, and app integration

“There’s a growing need for Wi-Fi everywhere – whether in common areas of MDUs, outdoors by pools or garages, or for guests dining on the patio of a café,” said Eric Presworsky, GM of subscriber solutions at Adtran. “With our new SDG 9000 Series, service providers can quickly and easily extend secure, cloud-managed Wi-Fi services across a range of environments.”
