Lucent Technologies introduced a high-density Stinger DSL access concentrator for global service providers. The Stinger MRT-48A, which can be deployed in indoor MTU locations, street cabinets or remote terminals, is an environmentally hardened, compact DSL access concentrator supporting up to 48 ADSL ports in a 19-inch unit. It can be expanded by cascading multiple units as the subscriber base increases. The platform is being deployed in Telekominikacja Polska’s network. Telekomunikacja Polska is planning to have 500,000 ADSL lines in service in Poland by the end of 2003. More information on TP’s DSL service offering can be found at http://www.neostrada.pl and http://www.internetdsl.plhttp://www.lucent.com
