Credo Technology Group Holding Ltd (NASDAQ: CRDO) filed a complaint with the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) against Amphenol Corporation, Molex LLC, TE Connectivity PLC, and Volex PLC. The company is seeking to block the importation of products that allegedly infringe on Credo’s patents related to Active Electrical Cables (AECs). Additionally, Credo has filed parallel complaints in Federal District Court, asserting willful infringement, as the defendants were notified of Credo’s patents in September 2023.

Credo, founded in 2008, said it has played a key role in the development of AEC technology, investing tens of millions of dollars in research and engineering since 2017. Its distinctive purple HiWire AECs have become a widely recognized solution in the data infrastructure market, offering high-speed, energy-efficient connectivity. The company views these legal actions as essential to protecting its innovations and ensuring its customers receive the best-in-class AEC technology.

• Credo has filed a patent infringement complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission.

• Defendants include Amphenol, Molex, TE Connectivity, and Volex.

• Credo seeks to block the importation of allegedly infringing Active Electrical Cables (AECs).

• Parallel complaints have been filed in Federal District Court, asserting willful infringement.

• Credo has invested heavily in AEC technology since 2017, securing foundational innovations in high-speed connectivity.

“Credo invented AECs with our engineering work dating back to 2017, and we have invested tens of millions of dollars in developing this pioneering technology,” said Don Barnetson, Senior Vice President of Product at Credo. “The offering in the United States of these infringing AEC products from these manufacturers compels us to take this step to protect our intellectual property and our ongoing technology investments.”
