Ericsson launched its generative AI-powered NetCloud Assistant (ANA), a virtual expert designed to simplify enterprise 5G network operations. ANA leverages large language models (LLMs) hosted within Ericsson’s secure environment, avoiding third-party API calls for enhanced data privacy. It provides personalized insights by correlating information from a customer’s network with Ericsson’s technical documentation, transforming complex tasks into rapid, automated responses.

ANA is embedded within Ericsson’s NetCloud management and orchestration platform, currently supporting approximately 37,000 enterprises managing 2.9 million devices. Designed for Wireless WAN (WWAN) networks, ANA delivers configuration guidance, troubleshooting support, and policy recommendations tailored to individual network environments. The solution also complements Ericsson’s NetCloud AIOps dashboard, which detects network anomalies and offers real-time performance insights, with ANA providing deeper diagnostic support when required.

Key ANA functionalities include knowledge summarization, WAN edge configuration assistance, automated troubleshooting, and upcoming features such as policy recommendations and custom graph generation for advanced network analytics. The latest enhancements, including ANA and the NetCloud AIOps dashboard, will be demonstrated at Ericsson’s NRF 2025 booth and are set to expand into Ericsson’s Private 5G solutions.

• Scope: ANA provides AI-powered assistance for enterprise 5G network operations.

• Technology: Uses large language models hosted entirely in Ericsson’s secure environment.

• Functionalities: Knowledge summarization, WAN device setup guidance, troubleshooting, and policy suggestions.

• Reach: Integrated into NetCloud, supporting 37,000 enterprises managing 2.9 million devices.

• Expansion: ANA and NetCloud AIOps will extend to Ericsson’s Private 5G solutions.

“Ericsson’s NetCloud is differentiated in its ability to simplify the deployment, management, and troubleshooting of enterprise cellular networking. By investing heavily in cutting-edge AI technology, we are empowering even the most streamlined IT teams to tackle 5G administration challenges, enhancing network reliability, security, and user experience with unparalleled efficiency,” said Pankaj Malhotra, Head of Enterprise Networking and Security, Enterprise Wireless Solutions, Ericsson.
