Lenovo Networks has selected Agere Systems’ Gigabit Ethernet solutions for use in Lenovo’s networking product portfolio for medium- and large-sized businesses.
The solution adopted by Lenovo Networks consists of Agere’s ET4148 and ET4128, as well as the Octal TruePHY 1081 device. The Octal TruePHY features low power and exceeds industry standard requirements for reach and error-free performance by approximately 40 percent. Also inherent in the TruePHY architecture is the industry’s most advanced cable diagnostic capability, with the ability to pinpoint cable faults with precision of 100 meters in standard cabling.
