Lucent to Resell Ubiquity's SIP Application Server

February 13, 2006
in Uncategorized
A A

Lucent Technologies will resell Ubiquity’s SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) Application Server and applications as part of its IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem)-based solution portfolio.

Lucent said Ubiquity’s applications portfolio, including mobile conferencing, IP multi-media conferencing, push-to-conference and mobile music sharing, complements its own IMS-based solution that enables the delivery of “blended lifestyle” services — resulting from interworking voice, data and video capabilities — to subscribers anytime, anywhere.

Lucent also will resell Ubiquity’s carrier-grade SIP application server and accompanying applications to customers requiring application creation and customization, with full support from Lucent Worldwide Services (LWS). In addition to the current joint selling into targeted carriers and enterprise accounts worldwide, Lucent and Ubiquity have been engaged in product and platform development activities focused on integration, interoperability and manageability to ensure readiness for commercial deployment.
