Marvell Offers SOHO Secured Gateway Reference Design

Marvell announced a SOHO secured gateway reference design supporting Windows CE .NET, Monta Vista Linux and Wind River Vx Works. The gateway router integrates an IPSec VPN engine, a 64-bit MIPS processor for wire-speed packet routing, the company’s Fast Ethernet PHY technology with Virtual Cable Tester diagnostics, and an on-chip PCI bus enabling the addition of WLAN modules. Marvell said its desig provides up to a 6X performance gain over current generation SOHO security products.
