MCI recorded $2.034 billion in revenue during May 2003 versus $2.05 billion in April 2003, according to its latest report filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Operating income in May was $116 million versus $114 million in April. CAPEX for May was $90 million, including $73 million for PP&E and $17 million for related software. MCI ended May with $4.2 billion in cash on hand, an increase of approximately $500 million from the beginning of the month. The company said it was making steady progress financially.
