OFS Expands Global Manufacturing

August 22, 2024
in All
A A

OFS noted the expansion of its global manufacturing capabilities to better serve the hyperscale market’s increasing demand for ultra-high fiber count (UHFC) cables. This move aligns with the growing needs of data-intensive applications, including AI, that require robust and high-capacity connectivity. The expansion will enable OFS to continue delivering reliable and scalable fiber optic solutions, with a product portfolio that includes high-density cables ranging from 12 to 6,912 fibers, optimized for both Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) applications.

OFS’ rollable ribbon designs are especially suited for interconnecting hyperscale data centers and navigating congested urban environments where high fiber count is essential. OFS also supports middle mile, fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) distribution, and mobility networks with lower fiber count versions of its cables, ensuring comprehensive coverage across various network infrastructures.

• OFS expands global manufacturing to meet increasing demand for ultra-high fiber count (UHFC) cables.

• The product portfolio includes high-density cables optimized for both OSP and ISP applications, ranging from 12 to 6,912 fibers.

• OFS’s expansion supports the growth of AI-driven and data-intensive applications, as well as traditional telecom networks.

• Rollable ribbon designs cater to hyperscale data centers and urban environments with high fiber count needs.
