STACK Infrastructure has announced its largest development to date, the 1+GW Stafford Technology Campus (STC) in Stafford County, Virginia. Spanning 500 acres with four sub-campuses, the STC will house 19 data centers and draw power from six 300MW substations supplied by Dominion Energy. This flagship campus reinforces STACK’s commitment to scalable, innovative infrastructure while driving economic and environmental benefits for the local community.
The STC is strategically located in Northern Virginia, one of the most vital data center markets globally. The project represents a significant economic boost for Stafford County, supporting critical infrastructure improvements, including water and sewer upgrades that eliminate $58 million from the county’s Capital Improvement Program. Upon completion, STC is expected to generate over $80 million in annual tax revenue, create hundreds of full-time jobs, and provide more than 1,000 construction jobs during peak development. Additionally, the campus incorporates sustainability features like a reclaimed water system for cooling, aligning with STACK’s commitment to clean energy and environmental conservation.
