In Focus: UEC

🏛️ Ultra Ethernet Consortium
Open Ethernet Innovation for AI and HPC Networking
The Ultra Ethernet Consortium (UEC) is an industry group developing Ethernet enhancements for AI, high-performance computing and hyperscale data center workloads. Its work focuses on improving Ethernet transport, congestion management, reliability, telemetry and performance for large-scale accelerator clusters.
Why It MattersAI clusters require Ethernet fabrics that can deliver high utilization, predictable latency and rapid recovery under extreme load. UEC is important because it aims to make Ethernet a more capable open fabric for distributed AI training and inference at hyperscale.
