Vantage and Liberty Energy Target 1 GW of On-Site Power

Vantage Data Centers and Liberty Energy announced a strategic partnership to develop and operate up to one gigawatt (GW) of utility-scale power solutions for next-generation data centers across North America. The companies aim to address growing power constraints tied to hyperscale cloud and AI infrastructure by pairing data center campus development with co-located generation and long-term power services.

Under the agreement, the partners expect to deliver up to 1 GW of power agreements over the next five years, including a reservation of 400 MW of generation capacity targeted for 2027. Upon commissioning, the power assets will be owned and operated by Liberty Power Innovations (LPI), providing long-term power services directly to end users operating within Vantage campuses, with expansion potential beyond the initial 1 GW framework.

The collaboration focuses on markets where grid capacity remains constrained, enabling Vantage to accelerate campus delivery while integrating on-site generation, intelligent load management, and optional future grid interconnects. LPI’s platform combines primary power generation with digital operations and grid-support capabilities, designed to support high-density, AI-optimized data center workloads while improving resilience and operational flexibility.
