How should enterprises prepare for the quantum computing threat to network security?

Paul Savill, Global Practice Leader for Network and Edge Computing from Kyndryl explains:

– Network equipment providers like Nokia and Cisco are developing quantum-safe products, including optical networking encryption and switch fabric innovations

– Some vendors are creating software patches for existing infrastructure to enable quantum-safe encryption without complete hardware replacement

– Organizations should start preparing now, as state actors are already collecting encrypted data to decrypt later when quantum computing becomes available
