ZTE Supplies 100G DWDM/OTN to Telkom Indonesia

Telkom Indonesia has selected ZTE to help upgrade its Java backbone network from 10G to 100G. Financial terms were not disclosed.

ZTE’s converged DWDM/OTN solutions are being deployed over the existing fiber network.  ZTE’s Guard Band solution enables the new network to coexist the legacy system.

Spanning the island of Java from West Java to East Java and connecting all major cities on the island, the Java backbone is the busiest backbone network in Indonesia, accounting for the largest total exchange capacity and the highest data growth rate.

ZTE has been a supplier for the the Java backbone transmission network since 2004.
