– The transition from copper to optics offers multiple options, including full DSP pluggable optics, LPO optics, and co-packaged optics (CPO)
– Key considerations for selecting the right technology include network capacity, fault tolerance requirements, and field replaceability needs
– The choice of interconnect technology depends on whether scale-out moves beyond the rack to the row level and the specific deployment requirements
