Denmark’s TDC NET Adopts Ciena’s Blue Planet to Streamline Operations

Danish network provider TDC NET is modernizing its Operating Support System (OSS) by deploying Blue Planet Inventory (BPI), an automation software from Ciena’s Blue Planet division. The implementation of BPI, which runs on Blue Planet’s Cloud Native Platform, will give TDC NET a unified and accurate view of its mobile and fixed network resources, allowing for more efficient service delivery and improved operational processes.

BPI allows TDC NET to model and visualize its diverse network resources while enabling automated workflows. This deployment is part of TDC NET’s broader digital transformation strategy, which integrates additional functions like monitoring, service assurance, and workforce management through Blue Planet’s partner, Infosys.

“Blue Planet is supporting TDC NET’s transformation, simplifying and automating its operations to offer new services and improved customer experiences,” said Joe Cumello, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Blue Planet. TDC NET’s move follows recent optical transport network upgrades with Ciena, building a robust, open, and future-ready ecosystem for Denmark’s digital infrastructure.

• Key Points:

• TDC NET deploys Ciena’s Blue Planet Inventory (BPI) for unified network visualization.

• BPI supports automated workflows to streamline operations and service delivery.

• Part of TDC NET’s larger digital transformation strategy, integrated by Infosys.

• Follows recent optical transport upgrades with Ciena, enhancing Denmark’s digital infrastructure.
