Nokia has been selected by CoreWeave, a leading AI hyperscaler, to deploy its IP routing and optical transport technologies as part of a global backbone expansion across the U.S. and Europe. This collaboration is designed to support the growing data demands driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) workloads. Nokia’s solution will deliver super-fast, reliable performance while improving energy efficiency by over 30%. The network will support CoreWeave’s AI cloud infrastructure and ensure high-speed, reliable customer access to its services.

CoreWeave’s new network will use Nokia’s FP5-based 7750 Service Router (SR) for high-performance routing, along with Nokia’s 1830 Photonic Service Interconnect (PSI) for optical transport and data center interconnections. The deployment will be automated and optimized using Nokia’s Network Services Platform (NSP), which will allow CoreWeave to handle increasing traffic loads and evolving network needs.

• Nokia’s 7750 Service Router with FP5 silicon supports 800Gbps speeds

• Optical transport via Nokia’s 1830 Photonic Service Interconnect

• Nokia Network Services Platform automates network management and resource allocation

• Designed to meet AI, ML, and graphics/rendering demands at scale

• Energy efficiency improvements of over 30%

“CoreWeave has chosen Nokia hardware to power its backbone and edge platforms to meet the performance, stability, and scalability demands of AI and ML hyper scale clouds,” said Jim Julson, Director of Networking at CoreWeave.

Vach Kompella, Senior Vice President at Nokia, added: “CoreWeave is at the forefront of AI innovation, and Nokia’s proven reliability and performance will help power their continued growth.”
